Lisa Gaskin

Lisa Gaskin

It was the night of March 27th, 2000, and seventeen-year-old Lisa Gaskin had been visiting her stepfather at his workplace before heading off on foot toward the Tulsa suburb of Oakhurst to see a friend who lived there. At some point, she was seen walking alongside the railroad tracks in the company of an unknown man. She never made it to her destination.

At a little past one-thirty on the morning of March 28th, the remains of Lisa Gaskin were found in a ditch next to the tracks on Southwest Boulevard. She had been beaten in the head with some heavy, sharp object, and then strangled to death.

Authorities are certain that the unidentified male seen walking with Lisa is the man responsible for her death, but as of this writing, there has been absolutely no progress on the case. In 2019, the media republished details of the murder in the hopes that someone would come forward with information, and Lisa’s family—including her parents and six siblings—are still confident that the crime will someday be solved.
