Analia Zavodny

Analia Zavodny

On the morning of March 13th, 1987, in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio called Bedford, a twenty-four-year-old mother of two was found viciously stabbed to death inside her own apartment. Analia Zavodny was the night manager of the Alamo Apartments on Broadway Avenue.

Three years after she was slain, her boyfriend was put on trial for her murder, but was acquitted shortly thereafter. The case was reopened in 2015 after new evidence surfaced, and police have hinted that they know who the killer is and that he still resides in the Cleveland area, though as of this writing, no arrests have been made. An investigator on the case sent a cryptic message to the murderer via the press, which read in part, “Analia exposed you for the failure that you are. The final nails are being driven in your coffin. Given what I know, I would not go to the store and buy green bananas.”

A reward of ten-thousand dollars is still on offer for information leading to the conviction of the killer of Analia Zavodny.

  1. Analia is my Mother’s sister, she was brutally murdered just 8 days after I was born.. I can’t tell you how much this weighed on my life and upbringing.
