It was a few days before Easter of 2002 in Norwich, England, and twenty-two-year-old sex worker Michelle Bettles evidently had an appointment with a regular client near her home on Dereham Road.
Michelle didn’t keep her appointment, however, and oddly, CCTV footage from around eight-twenty p.m. on Thursday, March 28th showed her walking toward the city center, in the opposite direction from the planned meeting spot. She was additionally seen by witnesses walking around the area all that night, with the last sighting of her reported around midnight.
Early on the morning of Sunday, March 31st, a local discovered Michelle’s strangled body along a country road in Scarning, a location about twenty miles away from where she was last seen alive.
