At ten-forty-five on the morning of November 7th, 2002, twenty-five-year-old John Shippam was found dead of several gunshot wounds in his flat in Bestwood, Nottinghamshire, England. His time of death was estimated to have been between three-thirty and ten-thirty a.m.

According to his family, the young man had been involved with some individuals who were allegedly engaged in criminal activity, and police believe it’s likely that these associations may have contributed to his murder. Authorities also confirmed that only two days prior to his death, John was assaulted at a bonfire event at the Anchor pub in Gunthorpe, another incident probably linked to the homicide.

In 2012, on the tenth anniversary of the crime, a new appeal was made for information, but as of this writing, John Shippam’s 2002 murder is unresolved.
