Patricia Parsons

Forty-two-year-old Patricia Parsons was quite a wealthy woman; she was a masseuse and ran a sauna in London’s Camden Town, at which many powerful men reportedly received sexual services. Patricia allegedly kept a notebook containing the names of all her well-known clients, a habit which may have contributed to her tragic death.

On June 23rd, 1990, Patricia left her house at around nine p.m. to attend a party at her boyfriend’s restaurant in Harlow, Essex. She was evidently seen getting into her car with an unidentified man, but after the vehicle left the property, she was never seen alive again.

The following day, Patricia’s body was found in her Vauxhall Cabriolet in Epping Forest. She had been shot three times in the head and neck with a crossbow. To investigating authorities, this had all the hallmarks of a contract hit, and they speculated that Patricia may have been planning to release the names of some of her famous clients to the media. Whoever killed her, they theorized, was attempting to forestall this eventuality. Patricia’s notebook has never been found, lending even more credence to the hypothesis that she was killed because of what it contained.

On February 1st, 2007, an unnamed fifty-eight-year-old man was arrested for the crime, but ultimately, no charges were ever laid, and the murder remains unsolved.
