Thirty-three-year-old Angela Millington led something of a “chaotic” life, according to authorities. Hailing from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England, the young woman endured periods of homelessness, though she lived on and off with her partner in town.
Angela was seen by street preachers sometime in February 2014, but her movements after that were uncertain, and it’s surmised that this was the last sighting of her alive.
In June of the same year, a set of skeletal remains washed up on Foulness Island in Essex, and the bones were quickly found to have belonged to Angela Millington.
While investigators initially weren’t sure if her death was a homicide, the presence of a thick mask made of gaffer tape found near her face certainly suggested that she met a violent, suffocating death at the hands of a killer.
Two men were later arrested in connection with the crime, but both were released without charge. There is a £10,000 reward on offer for information leading to the conviction of the perpetrator, but as of June 2024, the murder of Angela Millington remains unsolved.
