Sixty-six-year-old Antione Denis was the father of four grown children, and lived in a flat on New Road, Chatham, Kent, England.
On January 9th, 2010, Antoine was found dead in his flat, lying face up on the floor. Initially, police did not suspect he’d been murdered, but when his body was moved, they noticed a knife sticking out of his back. The motive for the crime was unclear, as nothing else in the flat appeared to be disturbed.
Later that same month, a forty-three-year-old man was arrested in connection with the crime, but subsequently released. A sixty-nine-year-old man was also taken into custody and questioned but was likewise let go without charge.
Murder charges were actually brought against a woman in the stabbing case, but in March of 2010, the charges were dropped. As of July 2024, the mysterious murder of Antoine Denis remains unsolved.
