Thirty-five-year-old David Currier, known to friends and family by his nickname of “Danger,” lived in a house on Birmingham Road in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England with his six-year-old son.
At some time in the early hours of Saturday, February 7th, 2009, a person or persons unknown forced their way into the residence and stabbed David once in the leg after what appeared to be a prolonged struggle. The victim had succumbed to his injuries by the time emergency services arrived. Thankfully, the six-year-old boy was unharmed; he was found sitting at the top of the stairs in his pajamas.
Police suspected that several men had been involved in the attack, and discovered a number of bloody footprints at the scene.
According to witness reports, there had been four men in the area shortly before the estimated time of the attack. The men were standing beside two vehicles—a white Ford transit van and a dark red hatchback that was possibly a Hyundai—and then walked off in the general direction of David Currier’s house. These individuals have yet to be identified.
A reward of £10,000 is still on offer for information leading to the conviction of the killer. As of July 2024, the murder of David Currier remains unsolved.
