Twenty-five-year-old Steve Jindu worked as a warehouse driver and lived in Ealing, Greater London. On November 11th, 2000, he was seen at Yates’ Wine Lodge on Mattock Lane, and several patrons later reported that he had gone outside to take calls on his cell phone a number of times. He didn’t appear to be accompanied by anyone.
According to CCTV footage, Steve left the wine bar at approximately ten-forty p.m., but at some point after that, he vanished, leaving his green Volkswagen Passat in the parking lot of the establishment.
Three days later, on November 14th, Steve’s body was found in a clearing near Horsenden Lane in Greenford, nearly four miles from where he had disappeared. He had been stabbed to death, and some reports claim his remains were also mutilated.
Authorities were at a loss as to what the motive for the crime may have been, and seem to have made no progress on the case since it occurred. There is a £5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Steve Jindu’s killer.
