June 21st, 2015 was Father’s Day, and thirty-year-old Christian Bagley had been to visit his two-year-old daughter. On his way home at about ten-thirty p.m., he was walking under the Hunderton Bridge in Hereford, England when at least one individual attacked him, stabbing him once in the back and once in the arm. Christian staggered farther to try and get help after the assault, but collapsed from blood loss on Rogers Avenue and subsequently died of his injuries.
In August 2016, four people were arrested and questioned in connection with the crime. Two men, aged twenty-seven and thirty-six, were held on suspicion of murder, while two women, aged thirty-four and fifty-one, were accused of assisting the offenders and perverting the course of justice. In December 2016, all four were released without charge.
That same month, West Mercia police released CCTV footage of two men they wished to speak to about the murder, either as suspects or possible witnesses, as they had both been seen in the area at around the time of the slaying.
The case was featured on Crimewatch, and authorities are offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Christian Bagley’s killer or killers.
