Thirty-three-year-old Jason Stock lived with his roommate Neil Daniel in a flat on Alexandra Road in Hull, East Yorkshire, England.
On the night of November 1, 2003, Jason had been out drinking with his roommate and his girlfriend Danielle Chicklowski. Sometime in the wee hours of November 2nd, the trio returned to the flat, but what happened after that is still something of a mystery.
Jason was eventually found in the residence with sixty-six separate injuries, as from a severe beating. He was rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary but died of his injuries that afternoon. The exact cause of death was a blow to the head.
Because Jason’s girlfriend and roommate were both allegedly in the flat at the time of the assault, both were extensively questioned at the inquest but refused to talk. The coroner returned an open verdict, and both Neil Daniel and Danielle Chicklowski were released due to lack of evidence.
The murder of Jason Stock remains officially unsolved as of July 2024.
