Twenty-year-old Hayley Morgan (also known as Hayley Marshall) was a known heroin user who had turned to prostitution to support her habit. She lived in Hull, East Yorkshire.
On May 27th, 1998, Hayley’s body was discovered in an alley between Ash Grove and Beech Grove. She had a plastic bag over her head.
Although the coroner initially returned an open verdict, as the cause of death was found to be a heroin overdose and asphyxiation, it was soon found that Hayley also had bruises and other wounds on her body consistent with being punched and kicked. Authorities suspected that Hayley had been killed elsewhere and then dumped in the alley.
Four people were arrested during the investigation, but all were released without charge. Since that time, there has been no further progress in the case, and the murder of Hayley Morgan remains unsolved as of October 2024.
