Jackie Chau Kwok Tam was forty-one years old and ran a Chinese restaurant called The Dynasty in Headingley, Leeds, England.
At around eight p.m. on the night of December 9th, 1997, three armed robbers wearing ski masks burst into the restaurant. They forced Jackie into the back kitchen of the establishment and then shot him in the back with a sawn-off shotgun. They then fled the scene.
Jackie was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, but his injuries were far too severe; he died three days later, on December 12th.
The brutal slaying of Jackie Chau Kwok Tam is still unsolved, nearly three decades later.
