Fourteen-year-old Tracy Burton lived with her parents in Madeley, Shropshire, England. On the evening of Saturday, June 20th, 1981, she went to a disco in Broseley, and later on was spotted at a chip shop just around the corner from the establishment. It seems this was the last time she was seen alive.
Days later, on Thursday, June 25th, Tracy’s body was found beneath a pile of garbage across from the Black Swan Inn on the banks of the River Severn. She had been raped and strangled.
As of this writing in November 2024, the case appears to be sadly forgotten, and remains unsolved.
