Tina Marie Fletcher

Nineteen-year-old Tina Marie Fletcher lived with her two small children in the Park Hill housing estate in Sheffield, England. Two days after Christmas of 1986, Tina’s father arrived at her residence and found her dead in the sitting room. Her throat had been cut, and there had clearly been a struggle.

Her children, aged one and two, were found unharmed upstairs, unaware of what had happened to their mother.

Police concluded that robbery had not been the motive, and noted that the circumstances of the crime were “unusual.” They would not release further details to the public in the hopes that they would be able to identify the killer by his knowledge of particular elements of the brutal scene.

It was believed that Tina had attended a party on Friday night, December 26th, and that she had been killed sometime in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 27th.

The murder of Tina Marie Fletcher is now nearly forty years old and sadly appears no closer to being solved.
