Twenty-seven-year-old Julie Moore worked as a postal carrier in Coventry, England. On March 1st, 1994, an office worker entered the building where they were employed and found Julie’s body in a pool of blood on the floor. According to the post-mortem, the victim had been strangled and also beaten so severely with a fire extinguisher that her face was unrecognizable.
An individual who was believed to be dating Julie at the time was arrested and tried for her murder, but was acquitted after the defense successfully argued that the man had been in Birmingham at the time of the crime. It was also revealed that DNA found on Julie’s remains did not match the man on trial.
Since the acquittal, there have been no further updates in the case, and neither the motive nor the perpetrator of the vicious slaying has been identified.
