It was about a quarter to midnight on the evening of January 23rd when police received a 911 call to respond to a man’s body lying in a pool of blood on the sidewalk near the intersection of Edmund Street and El Parque Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada.
When officers arrived, they discovered the victim was twenty-six-year-old Ryan George, who had reportedly been riding a bicycle in the area when an unknown assailant (or assailants) shot him once in the chest. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motive for the crime was a complete mystery, and the seemingly random shooting remains unsolved as of this writing in 2025.
