Forty-one-year-old Michael Anthony Smith lived in a house on Bonaparte Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was last seen at approximately ten a.m. on February 13th, 2000 at the nearby Busken Bakery in the company of a black woman in her mid-forties with curly hair. On Valentine’s Day, the 14th, Michael was found strangled in the third-floor bedroom of his home.
The motive for the crime is unknown, as is the extent of the involvement of the woman he was last seen with. The Ohio Attorney General’s office is still fielding tips in the cold case.
