Virginia Webb

On August 20th, 2000, police officers were summoned to the home of ninety-two-year-old Viginia Cauley Webb, who had not been heard from in some time. She lived on South Charlotte Avenue in Waynesboro, Virginia.

When law enforcement entered the residence, they found the elderly woman dead. An autopsy later revealed she’d been strangled.

Authorities did not specify whether the crime was a robbery gone wrong but assured the public that they thoroughly investigated every lead that surfaced over the ensuing years. As of March 2025, however, the murder of Virginia Webb has still not been solved.
