It was August 24th, 2000, only ten days after the twenty-fourth birthday of Eric Delon Edwards. It was approaching two-thirty in the morning, and Eric’s car had broken down on Garrison Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was outside the vehicle, attempting to diagnose the problem, when two unknown men suddenly approached him and opened fire. Eric was hit multiple times and was dead at the scene when emergency personnel arrived.
Neither the motive for the crime nor the identity of the attackers has been established.
