Dorothy Grant

On the last day of September 2000, seventy-nine-year-old Dorothy Grant, who had served in the US Marines during World War II, was found unresponsive in the bedroom of her home on Mt. View Avenue in Akron, Ohio. She was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

It was clear that an assailant or assailants had forced their way into the home and had attacked Dorothy in the course of a robbery. Several items were missing from the residence.

The victim’s cause of death was never released to the public, but the homicide case remains open. After twenty-five years, however, there is still no clue as to who murdered Dorothy Grant.
