Daniel Saucedo

Twenty-eight-year-old Daniel Saucedo had borrowed a 1988 Chevrolet Caprice from a friend. But at around seven p.m. on the evening of November 1st, 2000, Daniel spotted two men attempting to steal the vehicle, which was parked on North Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Daniel confronted the thieves, but one of the individuals shot at him while the other jumped in the car and took off. The shooter fled the scene on foot. Daniel died of his injuries.

The Caprice was later recovered at the intersection of Valley Forge and Virgil, but evidence gathered from the vehicle did not lead to any arrests. Witnesses described the assailants as black males in their twenties, standing approximately five-foot-nine.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still asking the public for information that will help them apprehend Daniel Saucedo’s killers.
