Jacey Charles was a twenty-three-year-old IT consultant who lived in London, England. On the night of June 9th, 2001, he was at Drummonds nightclub in Marsh Wall on the Isle of Dogs. Outside the establishment, he reportedly got into an argument with an unknown person, and shortly thereafter, was approached by four men who brutally stabbed him and left him lying on the sidewalk. Jacey was transported to the Royal London Hospital but died of his injuries shortly afterward.
Police were able to track and interview most of the people who had been at the club that night, and diligent investigation eventually led to the arrest of four men. However, there was not enough evidence to charge any of these individuals with the murder, and they were later released,
Jacey’s mother and sister spoke to the media on the tenth anniversary of Jacey’s death, hoping to find some closure in the case. As of this writing in April 2025, though, the stabbing of Jacey Charles is still unresolved.
