Nana Osei-Agyapong

Nana Osei-Agyapong was a twenty-five-year-old media student who lived with his girlfriend in Brockley, London, England. On the night of October 30th, 2001, he had gone with friends to a private party at the Kabaret Night Club on Upper John Street in central London.

At some point after three a.m. on the morning of October 31st, Nana went to retrieve his silver Renault Magane, planning to drive back to the club and pick his friends up to take them home.

However, in his absence, an argument reportedly began outside the nightclub. When Nana returned in his car, an unidentified man shot once through his driver’s side window, hitting Nana in the chest. The perpetrator then fled the scene.

The wounded victim managed to drive away, but approximately twenty minutes later, police officers found the vehicle stopped on Golden Square, with Nana slumped over the steering wheel. He was rushed to University College Hospital but died of his injuries a half hour later.

An unnamed man was arrested in connection with the murder in 2004 but was subsequently released without charge.

Authorities appealed to the public for any clues about who may have perpetrated the shooting, and in 2011 announced a £15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer, as well as an additional £3,000 reward for turning in the firearm used in the slaying.

The tragic, seemingly random crime, though, is still unresolved as of April 2025.
