Anthony Boyle

Fifty-eight-year-old Anthony Boyle was a retired electrician who lived in West Darby, Liverpool, England. On Friday, January 4th, 2001, he had been at the local Conservative club having a few drinks, and he left there at about nine p.m. for the short walk home.

Along the way, he reportedly scolded a gang of teenagers—both boys and girls—for their rowdy behavior, and it’s believed that one of the boys punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the pavement and hit his head.

He was found by passersby, lying in a pool of blood. Though he was rushed to the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An unnamed fifteen-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the crime, but was never charged due to a lack of evidence.

The senseless murder of Anthony Boyle is still unsolved.
