Sixty-three-year-old Geoffrey Leeming lived in a house on Linley Avenue, Haxby, North Yorkshire with his family. He was a military veteran.
On October 9th, 1996, Geoffrey was found beaten and stabbed to death in his own garage. His wife was reportedly in the house watching television when the attack occurred.
In 1997, Geoffrey’s wife, son, and daughter were charged with conspiracy to murder in connection with the crime, but the case was eventually thrown out a year later due to lack of evidence, and no further arrests have been made.
In 2005, Geoffrey’s wife died of cancer, and in 2008, his twenty-year-old grandson Scott was arrested for stabbing nineteen-year-old Dean Edwards in a fight. Edwards survived his injuries.
Meanwhile, the motive and perpetrator behind Geoffrey Leeming’s murder is still a mystery.
