Adrian Milner

Forty-eight-year-old Adrian Milner worked as a truck driver, and lived in Sittingbourne, Kent with his partner Gemma Stuttard and their two children.

On the evening of December 28th, 2010, Adrian had been drinking with his friend Michael Coomber at the New Inn pub on Murston Road. The pair drank approximately eight to nine pints each, and began to make their slightly wobbly way home.

As they walked, an unidentified man suddenly approached and punched Adrian hard in the face, completely unprovoked.

Adrian fell backward and hit his head on the sidewalk, which knocked him unconscious. The blow had been so sudden that Adrian’s hands were still in his pockets when he collapsed to the ground. The perpetrator fled the scene before anyone got a good look at him.

Several passersby stopped to help, and Adrian was transported to the nearest hospital. His nose was broken from the punch and the base of his skull had been fractured. He clung to life for more than a week, but eventually contracted pneumonia and succumbed to his injuries twelve days after the attack.

Police studied CCTV footage of the area, but sadly it wasn’t of any help. Three men were arrested and questioned in connection with the crime, but all were released without charge.

As of this writing in October of 2024, the seemingly random murder of Adrian Milner remains unsolved.
