Rodney Shephard

Rodney Shephard was a forty-five-year-old widower and father of three who lived in Perry Township, Ohio. He and his good friend, Charles Hoops, would meet for breakfast at a Brookville Waffle House several times a week.

So on January 10th, when Rodney didn’t show up to eat as expected and wasn’t answering his phone, Charles became concerned and went to his friend’s house on Crawford Tom’s Run. Unfortunately, he found Rodney had been violently murdered inside his residence.

There was no clear motive for the killing, as Rodney had no known enemies and was not found to be involved in any criminal activity. Though authorities stated that they had two suspects in the case, no arrests have been made as of this writing.

The investigation remains open and unresolved.
