Leiland Cannon, sometimes known by the nickname Buster, was seventy-four years old, a Navy veteran who was well-liked and respected in East Fultonham, Ohio.
On the morning of January 13th, 2000, Leiland was found murdered in his home on Axline Avenue, where he’d lived alone.
It was later determined that fifty-thousand dollars in cash was missing from his residence, leading police to suspect that whoever killed him knew that he kept large sums of money at hand.
The investigation stalled not long after the slaying occurred, and there has been little movement on the case in the past twenty-five years. Leiland’s family is still awaiting justice.
