Robert Edward Belton

On the evening of July 14th, 2000, police were summoned to a house on Ashford Street in San Diego, California. The neighbors were concerned that they hadn’t seen the home’s resident, fifty-nine-year-old Robert Belton, for several days.

Officers forced their way into the house and discovered Robert dead inside; he had been beaten to death with a blunt object. His 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck had also been stolen from the property.

The truck was later recovered, but unfortunately, it yielded no clues as to the identity of the person or persons who had murdered Robert Belton. The case remains unsolved.
