Patrick Pasipanodya

Twenty-nine-year-old Patrick Pasipanodya was an actor who lived in Walthamstow, London. He had appeared in episodes of the British TV programs Minder and The Bill, and was also said to be interested in martial arts.

Shortly before eleven p.m. on the night of Tuesday, August 21st, 2001, Patrick and his girlfriend were driving in his blue VW Golf when two individuals on motorbikes passed them and opened fire at the vehicle.

Patrick was hit in the chest, and though police arrived quickly upon fielding reports of gunfire, the victim died at the scene.

Authorities remain baffled as to the motive behind the seemingly random shooting, though there have been rumors that the killers were possibly heroin traffickers.

Because the perpetrators were wearing helmets, their genders are unknown, though witnesses described both individuals as white and of medium build, standing between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten. One suspect was wearing light-colored blue jeans, a dark jacket made of lightweight material, and white sneakers. This person’s helmet was said to be white with a pattern on it, and the motorbike they rode was a red Peugeot or Piaggio scooter.

The second suspect’s helmet was black, and they rode a similar scooter, but of a darker color. This individual was also wearing white sneakers, as well as dark-colored tracksuit pants.

A thirty-five-year-old man and a twenty-six-year-old woman were arrested on April 10th, 2002 in connection with the slaying, but as of this writing in 2024, there have been few new updates, though a 2021 article concerning police corruption alleges that an ex-police officer whose son was a suspect in the shooting may have wangled his way into the investigation in order to subvert it.
